Are you interested in learning how to help others take care of their skin? Do you want to help your clients see themselves differently? You should consider going to aesthetics school! Here at Spa Tech Institute, we offer esthetics programs in 4 different locations. You can take it at our Ipswich, Plymouth, Westboro, or Westbrook campus. While the job duties of an aesthetician are similar in most states, the path to becoming one varies. If you’re interested in attending one of our programs, here is what you should know about the time it takes for you to complete the course.


How Long is Esthetician School in Massachusetts?

Our Ipswich, Plymouth, and Westboro campuses all reside in MA. All of our courses are 600 or 300 hours. The 600 hour is offered in full-time, part-time, and mother’s day schedules. (Our mother’s day schedule is considered a half-day.) The 600 hour programs can be completed in as little as 7-13 months. The 300 hundred hour program is only offered in the evening and takes approximately 7 months to complete.

What Can I Learn?

Our esthetics programs feature a curriculum that covers:
  • History of skin care
  • History of cosmetics
  • Product knowledge
  • Skin treatments (with and without the use of machines)
  • Makeup application techniques
  • Waxing
  • Management
  • Communication
  • Facials
  • And much, much more!

Why You Should Consider Becoming an Esthetician in MA

We suspect that the demand for aestheticians is growing due to the increase of importance of personal care. More and more we are seeing individuals value their outward appearance.

How Long is Esthetician School in Maine?

The state of Maine requires 600 hours of training to test for an esthetician license. Our course is 600 hours and is offered in full-time and part-time schedules. You can complete the program in as little as 7 months going full-time and 12 months going part-time.

What Can I Learn?

Our program in Maine offers the same curriculum as our Massachusetts programs. We cover things like facials, makeup application, spa treatments, as well as business and marketing for beauty professionals. All of our programs have an emphasis on integrating therapeutic touch skills developed by the PRI EDucational Development Company.
