It is vitally important that you fully understand policies at the school that affect you. The policies are here for your protection and to facilitate your success as a student and after you graduate. Please review the policies and access them as needed.

By posting the policies on the website you are able to locate the most up to date version of any policy. Please review these policies as needed.

Professionalism is the Mark of Quality

Being a successful professional requires focus, dedication, strength and a constant state of improvement.

The amount to learn about being a successful professional is endless. It is also an amazing journey of self development. Your limitations or flaws are the source of your failures. If something isn't working out it's always because it's something in you.

Awareness of Dangers and Scams

Whether you work for someone else or have your own business, as a successful professional you have to develop a sixth sense for areas that can cause problems.

This section is designed to raise your awareness of areas that could hurt you.

Common Sense is important but as a trusting, healing and idealistic person (which describes pretty much anyone who is in business) you are a particularly good target for people who make a living by taking advantage of people.

It is important to remember: If you have assets, there will always be people that are figuring out how to take them away from you. It is sad but it is reality. It is important to be vigilant but not to allow it to make you cynical.

It is the policy of the school that the student must complete all requirements prior to graduation. These include:

Attend all required hours

Complete all tests and academic requirements

Complete all tuition obligations or be in good standing on any payment plans or agreements

Be in compliance on any additional requirements such as having a current CPR/First Aid certification for bodywork programs

Agree to notify the school of employment and state or federal test results

The Academic Policies of the school are designed to ensure your success. This success is not only as a student but as a future employee or business owner as well. The policies address issues of developing good professional behavior that will gain you respect and opportunity. Please refer to this site for the most up to date policies that apply to your education and to your future career.

Your schedule has been carefully designed to give you the optimal learning experience so consistent attendance is basic to doing well. Given the design of the schedule, any interuption in attendance is very difficult to make up for.

However, at times life events can come up that you have no control over. In these cases there are alternatives to withdrawing from your program of study.

Whether you have your own business or work for someone else, you will probably work with at least one consultant.

There are many good consultants if you use them correctly. However, there are also many consultants who are primarily self promoters and sales people who may take advantage of your vulnerabilities.

Most successful businesses are grown by people who have high standards and never think they are good enough. They also are typically people who are good at something and as a result, find themselves with a growing business that exceeds their skill set. The combination of self-doubt and the constant changes that go along with growth creates the market for consultants.

Phishing takes many forms but usually attempts to get some sort of meaningful data about you that can be used for identity theft.

Primarily you will get emails that appear to come from banks, credit card companies, security firms, software vendors or many other sources that appear to be legitimate. In particular, the email address will look like it is coming from a legitimate source. The problem is, email addresses can be spoofed to look like something other than what they are.

Toner Scam and other supply scams

The toner scam has been around for a long time but a lot of people don't know about it. Knowing about it can save you a lot of money.

A person calls the company, says they are from the copier company, that they are making sure that their records are up to date and then asks you to verify the make and model of the copier. Often a receptionist or another person takes the call so they may not realize that this is a scam.
