IMPORTANT POLICY ON RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

This is a student clinic where the students practice the work they are learning in class. The the student's skills are dependent on their progress in the program. For this reason, clinic clients must be able bodied and not have health issues that require the full set of skills offered by a professional clinician.

Therefore, for your protection, we reserve the right to not treat clients who may be dealing with health issues such as cancer, skin disease, heart conditions or other conditions that may require the services from a fully trained professional. Your safety and well-being is our top priority.

The school will also refuse service in cases of intoxication or inappropriate remarks or behavior.

POLICY ON MINORS IN MASSAGE SCHOOL AND POLARITY SCHOOL CLINIC

No unsupervised children are allowed in the clinic at any time. No minor (under 18 years of age) may receive services in the bodywork clinic- no exceptions!

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

In compliance with Title IX, NACCAS and State standards for Non-discrimination as well as the school’s policy to celebrate diversity, clients are assigned to students based on the services desired and the student’s level of knowledge. Clients may not refuse services based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, creed, nationality or other discriminatory criteria. If a client refuses to be worked on by the assigned student, the client is still responsible for paying for the service. This policy applies to all clients. Clients who have a preference based on religious beliefs or due to personal preferences will be able to satisfy their requirements by going to a private practitioner or business that can accommodate their needs.

* State Law prohibits schools from giving clients to specific students by request in the walk-in clinic. Students must be selected solely on the work needed to complete their requirements.

COVID 19 Policy

The school follows all local regulations when mandated and follows best practices for sanitation and infection prevention. This means that there may be shifts in availability and protocols.

This is a transitional time when restrictions are being lifted based on both science and politics and everyone is adjusting. Now that vaccines are available and a high percentage of the population has either vaccine or natural immunity, personal choice is respected and personal responsibility is expected.

As our students train for the new environment, they are instructed to wear a mask if the client requests it as that is becoming the standard practice in many professional spas and salons. If someone feels that everyone must wear a mask, this is not the right time for them to attend the student clinic and we encourage them to seek services from a professional practitioner who will accommodate their demands.
